Food traps are around everywhere, which makes eating out so exciting, but they are also unhealthy food traps that can entice you as well!
On vacation – Don’t take out a meal from healthy eating and exercise, if you are on vacation. You should always plan your meals well ahead of time and be prepared when on vacation. Eat out whenever you want, but you should also try to eat healthier than you would have on your usual menu in a restaurant.
At Home – If you are a foodie at heart, avoid eating food that is prepackaged, frozen or packaged. This is because the calories contained in these products could have been removed or replaced with other foods that are high in calories. Instead, buy fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, breads and snacks. Eat less, yet still be full for longer periods of time. Try to eat at least six small meals a day instead of five large meals.
If you do not have much time to plan your meals, consider packing your lunch and going to a fast food place or a restaurant, but make sure that you have a snack for lunch as well.
Do not eat before you go to bed. It is possible that you may eat several meals, including snacking throughout the day and sleeping during the night. Eating several meals can result to a series of weight gain. Instead, go to bed a couple hours earlier than usual, which will help to prevent weight gain in the long run.
Avoid eating after a workout. Even though it may seem appealing to have something sweet after a strenuous exercise session, your body needs to repair itself. If you are a sweets lover, limit your intake of these. It is advisable to eat more fruits and vegetables instead of consuming those sweet snacks after your workouts.
Don’t overindulge on your favorite drinks. Beverages that contain caffeine, alcohol, or other such substances should be limited. These substances have a lot of calories, which is what causes weight gain.
Don’t eat when you don’t feel hungry. You need to maintain your metabolism by having a regular exercise routine to burn calories, while at the same time, you should also eat enough food to maintain your daily calorie intake.
Don’t eat a lot more than your body requires. There are several foods that can easily increase your daily calorie intake, such foods are fatty foods, chocolate bars, sugary desserts and high fat foods such as chocolate milk. To avoid this, stick to healthy meals that contain low in calories.

Don’t eat for dinner. Although you can eat snacks throughout the day, it is advised that you stop eating late into the evening to prevent yourself from gaining weight because your body will need time to digest the food that you’ve eaten.
Drink plenty of water. A lot of people consume alcoholic beverages, which isnt a smart choice because alcohol can also contain calories and excess calories. Therefore, it is important that you drink a lot of water to flush out excess weight.
