Fitness Goals To Avoid – Infographic

by

Before exercising, most people would have a bodily goal that they wish to meet. To meet these goals, you’d need to adopt some techniques.

You should also know that there are certain fitness goals that are good, and those that aren’t.

  • Changing “Outcome Goals” to “Behavior Goals” – If you want to lose a certain amount of pounds, you can’t just make your body do so. Instead, what you do is create a behavior goal that can be easily met. These behavioral goals would include dietary goals and physical sports – all of which must be met for the best results.
  • Changing “Avoid Goals” to “Approach Goals” – When you work with avoid goals, you’ll be trying to subject yourself to certain self-made rules. You may want to avoid certain meals and certain activities. However, avoid goals don’t work so well because you’re likely to do the opposite and engage in the activities you’re trying to avoid. Instead, stick to approach goals, and you’ll see a difference.
  • Focus on “Mastery Goals” rather than “Performance Goals” – When you focus on mastering a certain routine, you’ll be aiming at getting better than you were the previous day. You also enjoy the exercise or regimen much more than when you’re focused on performance.
